Markus Fuerderer is an award-winning lighting designer based in New York City. He is working as project director & product designer for the Office for Visual Interaction — a visionary studio specialized in lighting design for signature architecture.
Markus collaborates with some of the world’s most celebrated architects, designers and artists on projects worldwide. He is a professional member of IES, IALD, AIA and IDSA.
In academia, he has shared his expertise through guest lectures at Yale School of Architecture, by serving as an invited guest judge at Parsons - The New School for Design and the School of Architecture & Design at the New York Institute of Technology - NYIT.
Markus leads multi-disciplinary teams to materialize natural and artificial light into design solutions from architectural space to tangible experiences — carving form from darkness.
